Sławomir Ratajski was born in Warsaw in 1955. In 1979, he graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he studied under Professor Halina Chrostowska and Professor Jerzy Tchórzewski. Since 1987, he has been professionally connected with his alma mater, first working as an assistant to Professor Jerzy Tchórzewski and later leading his own drawing and painting studio. In 2011, he received the title of Professor of Fine Arts.
Artistic Practice and Intermedia Work
Sławomir Ratajski’s work is interdisciplinary and intermedia in character. He combines painting, drawing, and conceptual approaches, creating art rooted in contemporary visual culture. His practice extends beyond traditional visual arts into audiovisual media.
