The sculpture *Boy* from the *Innocence* series is a poignant study of a child’s vulnerability, framed within a brutalist form. Drawing on the figure of his iconic ‘doll’, the artist creates a character suspended between the world of a child’s imagination and the oppressive reality of adulthood. The innocence referred to in the title is not presented here in an idyllic manner; rather, it becomes a state under threat, exposed to confrontation with a hostile environment. The figure of the boy carries a poignant existential burden, becoming a universal symbol of human fragility.

On a formal level, Ambroziak consistently employs the aesthetics of neo-primitivism, drawing on the austerity of archaic sculpture and tribal masks. The surface of the bronze, marked by distinct casting seams and a rough texture, evokes the uncompromising formal language of Georg Baselitz.
